Lt. L. Houston was made aware of this incident during the afternoon of February 16, 2024
. This incident involves three females arguing in the medical waiting room which lead to a fight. I was able to watch the video. I then spoke with the Deputy that was directly involved in the incident, Corporal B. Johnson. I advised Corporal Johnson to write a report of this incident in central. This is what stated. On the above date and time, inmate Yarshae Dent was in the medical waiting room Corporal Johnson bought up six females from the kitchen to receive their medicine.
Corporal B. Johnson observed inmate Dent called [REDACTED] a bith and said every time I see you its on sight so I Corporal Johnson pulled [REDACTED] away and inmate Dent turned to [VICTIM ] and said, yea you too bith. Dent proceeded to fight [VICTIM ] and pulled her braids out of her head all the way down to her scalp. The inmates escorted to medical and evaluated by nurse [REDACTED] in medical.
I Lt. Houston, along with Deputy Flournoy went to K- block to speak with inmate [VICTIM ]. I also took pictures of her swollen left eye and damaged scalp. Inmate [VICTIM ] stated that she wanted to press charges. Prior to a hearing with inmate Yarshae Dent, she was released on 2/18/2024
and transported to Henry County. This report will be forwarded to our investigations department.
