Discretion is advised.]On Sunday 08-25-24 at 0601 hours, I received a call to report to [3000 BLOCK] Jeffersonville Rd. Apt [REDACTED] (Jeffersonville Apts.) in reference to an assault.I spoke to Ms. [VICTIM ] who stated that while she was in her residence, her ex-boyfriend (James Fuller) entered her residence by forcing the front window to her apartment up. Ms. [VICTIM ] stated that Mr. Fuller started assaulting her by punching her in her head with his fist and hit her with a pistol in her head. I observed that Ms. [VICTIM ] had a swelling on her forehead. Ms. [VICTIM ] then stated that Mr. Fuller fired two shots at her with the pistol. I observed 1 shell casing on the floor beside the couch and 1 on top of the couch. I also observed 1 bullet hole in the wall behind the couch.Ms. [VICTIM ] stated that she was on the couch attempting to get Mr. Fuller off her when he shot two times towards her. Ms. [VICTIM ] also stated that Mr. Fuller took the keys to her burgundy 2011 Honda Accord and drove off in it. A partial tag is [REDACTED] but Ms. [VICTIM ] could not remember the rest and could not find a insurance card to get the VIN. I gave Ms. [VICTIM ] the phone number to the Crisis Safe House, and advised her to call them for a T.P.O. on Mr. Fuller. I also suggested to Ms. [VICTIM ] to go somewhere for safety and she stated that she was going to her mother’s house.I will be signing warrants on Mr. Fuller for aggravated assault, battery, burglary, and theft by taking motor vehicle. Sgt. Page came to the scene, and I told advised him of this incident. I put the bullet casing into the crime lab.[End of Narrative].
