On 10/11/24 at approximately 1120, I was dispatched to [2800 BLOCK] Masseyville Rd apt [REDACTED] in reference to a domestic dispute.
I made with [VICTIM ]. She stated that her children’s father, Derrick Johnson Jr, became upset this morning and started pushing her before pushing her against the wall and strangling her with one hand in front of their children. Ms. [VICTIM ] stated that they live together at this address, but recently broke up. She stated that they agreed to co-parent there together and she would work on finding another place to live.
Ms. [VICTIM ] stated that this morning, Mr. Johnson asked to see her phone and started calling her a wh*re, saying that she was sleeping with someone else. She stated that when she refused to give him the phone is when he became upset and started pushing her. Ms. [VICTIM ] has a small dark bruise on the left side of her neck. She stated that he took her phone and tablet and left the scene after she called 911.
Ms. [VICTIM ] was advised of services with the Crisis line and safe house. Warrants for aggravated assault fv and cruelty to children fv will be taken out on Mr. Johnson.
