Woodsprings Suites in reference to a hit and run. When I arrived I met with complainant 44 yr. old [VICTIM ] who is an employee at the hotel. She was standing outside by a black Lincoln Town Car parked directly in front of the hotel’s front door.I exited my vehicle as she bean to point to the damage on her car. I asked her if the vehicle was her’s and she initially said yes but later stated that the vehicle was in her brother [REDACTED]’s name.[VICTIM ] told me that she was inside and heard a loud crash and came outside to see what it was and saw that someone had struck her vehicle and left the scene. She said she went and viewed the camera and saw a white male driving a dark colored pickup strike her car and keep going. I gathered her information and took footage of her vehicle and then went inside to check the video myself. Upon looking at the footage I saw what appeared to be a white male driving a dark colored possibly gray vehicle pull forward out of a parking space in front of the building and strike [VICTIM ]’s vehicle parked right in front of it and keep going. At that time we were unable to see the tag or identify the subject however [VICTIM ] stated that the subject had been staying there a few days.She stated she would keep a lookout for the vehicle to see if she could get the vehicle information. On 011023 she called me again stating she had the information on the vehicle. She said that when he returned he parked in the rear of the hotel instead but she was able to get the tag and vin information off of the vehicle and crossed chocked it with guest information at the hotel and was able to retrieve his drivers license information and provided it to me.She gave me the name of 39 Brian Christopher Poythress out of Brunswick GA. which I verified on my system and it showed a white male fitting the description of the subject on the video.[VICTIM ] advised he checked out of the hotel shortly thereafter so I advised her that I would update the accident report to reflect the new information and also take a warrant out for Poythress’s arrest for hit and run.,[End of Narrative].
