On Friday July 5th, 2024
at approximately 0506 hours I was dispatched to [40 BLOCK] Dolphin Dr Cartersville, GA in reference to a possible physical domestic disturbance. Upon arrival I met with the owners [WITNESS ] and [WITNESS ]. They stated [WITNESS ]’s sister Tosha King and her boyfriend Brandon Mullis-Vonbehren were visiting for the evening when Tosha and her boyfriend began fighting. They stated that Tosha was violently attacking Brandon by punching, kicking and throwing household items at him. There were small amounts of blood on the front porch as well as inside the kitchen. We were unable to interview Brandon because he fled before deputies arrived.
I attempted to interview Tosha in regards to what transpired at the throughout the night into the morning. Tosha had a very difficult time communicating because she was so intoxicated. It also appeared Tosha was under the influence of some type of stimulant, possibly methamphetamine. Tosha did state that she was physical with Brandon but only because she was defending [WITNESS ]. Tosha was visiting the with her 2 year old juvenile grandson [REDACTED BY AGENCY]. I noticed [REDACTED BY AGENCY] had a hematoma also known as a “goose egg” above and to the left of his left eye. Tosha stated the injury was acquired prior to her receiving [REDACTED BY AGENCY] into her custody.
Upon speaking to [WITNESS ] further she explained that [REDACTED BY AGENCY] injury was caused by Tosha during her altercation with Brandon. [WITNESS ] explained that Tosha picked up a lamp in the living room and attempted to strike Brandon in the head while he was lying on the floor. Tosha missed Brandon and struck [REDACTED BY AGENCY] in the face near his left eye. [WITNESS ] explained that immediately after the injury it was very swollen and the swolleness had actually gone down since. I photographed the injury on [REDACTED BY AGENCY] head and saved it as evidence. I placed Tosha under arrest and charged her with Cruelty to Children in the 2nd Degree FVA.
There were no charges filed in regards to Tosha and Brandon’s altercation due to Brandon fleeing the scene. Tosha did not appear to have any injuries sustained from the altercation and was determined to be the aggressor. Deputies checked the area extensively for Brandon but could not locate him. Brandon does currently have active warrants for his arrest. [REDACTED BY AGENCY] injury was checked out by EMS and determined to be a non-emergency injury and stated he should heal up normally. [REDACTED BY AGENCY] great maternal grandmother [REDACTED] was ed and custody of [REDACTED BY AGENCY] was turned over to her. Tosha was transported to the Bartow County Jail where custody was turned over to jail staff.
