On September 26, 2024
I, Deputy Dollar, was dispatched to speak with REDACTED over the phone in reference to a domestic situation.
Upon speaking with [REDACTED], she informed me that her father, VICTIM , was assaulted over the weekend. [REDACTED] stated she had a picture of a wound he sustained during the assault on her phone. I asked [REDACTED] how this occurred and she stated that her step mother, Nancy Krasnesky (Suspect), cut [VICTIM ] with scissors after allegations of him lying to her regarding his drinking habit. [REDACTED] discovered this on, or around September 25, 2024
while [VICTIM ] had came to visit with her. She stated she only saw the cut due to [VICTIM ] wearing shorts.
[REDACTED] asked for advice on what to do since last time she ed police, [VICTIM ] did not speak to her for some time. I advised her that if given the address, I will at minimum conduct a welfare check on [VICTIM ] and do a report for further investigation. I informed [REDACTED] that if I am able to determine enough evidence to charge Nancy, then charges would be pressed. [REDACTED] did not wish to provide [VICTIM ]’s address at the time due to uncertainties about reporting the incident. She did state that Nancy has been violent before with [VICTIM ] in the past noting one time that she alleged Nancy stabbed [VICTIM ] in the head with a pencil.
After speaking with [REDACTED], [VICTIM ] and Nancy’s address was able to be determined from the tax assessor’s website. I did re-locate to [40 BLOCK] Lake Overlook Dr. to make with Nancy and [VICTIM ]. Nancy opened the door and invited me inside to speak with them. She asked why I was there. I informed her that she apparently sliced [VICTIM ]’s leg with scissors. Nancy stated, “no I did that.” She then asked me if I was going to take her to jail. I asked her what the circumstances around the incident were. She began explaining that [VICTIM ] lies to her and has also had an affair. She also stated that he is an alcoholic and stayed drunk the entire weekend she was gone. When Nancy got she noticed a wine glass and confronted [VICTIM ]. She asked me if [REDACTED] is the one that called this in. I advised Nancy that it came in third party, and that a report will be filed. Nancy stated she already has reports filed because [REDACTED] is only after the money. Nancy yelled out to [VICTIM ] that she was being taken to jail. She then yelled out that it is because he told [REDACTED] that she cut his leg.
I spoke with [VICTIM ]. I did see the cut on his left leg under his knee. I could see that it was bleeding at some point, but the wound at this time was already starting to scab. I had [VICTIM ] raise his shorts up to his upper thigh so that I could check him for anymore possible injuries. I asked [VICTIM ] to explain the circumstances the incident happened around to me. He stated that he deserves the treatment he gets from Nancy, and that he felt that she cut him on accident. I asked him why he feels like he deserves it. He stated that he made a promise he did not keep. I asked him if this was the first time she has done something to him and he stated no. I asked when the incident happened and he advised me on Sunday September 22, 2024
. Nancy came from Macon that evening. He explained that it started when Nancy saw the wine glass. I informed [VICTIM ] that Nancy would be going to jail given the crime falls under family violence. He asked how he could drop charges. I advised him that he would have to speak with the District Attorney’s office about that. I did take a picture of the cut on [VICTIM ]’s leg with my body camera.
I allowed Nancy to get her shoes on and gather her wallet and phone. I placed the handcuffs around the front and escorted Nancy to my patrol vehicle. I transported Nancy to the Bartow County Jail where she was booked on Battery (FVA).
