On Tuesday, June 18, 2024
, at approximately 1627 hours, I was dispatched to 100 Pine Grove Road (Dellinger Park) in reference to a physical domestic. Prior to arrival, Bartow 911 advised the a female at the pool had been punched in the face by her husband, in front of their children. Bartow 911 advised the male was bleeding from the eye lid, mouth and nose.
Upon arrival, I made with the male half of the domestic, sitting on a bench in front of their vehicle. The male was later identified as Brandon Sewell. I asked Mr. Sewell what happened and he stated that his wife, [VICTIM ] invited him to the pool. Mr. Sewell stated Ms. [VICTIM ] sent him money through cash app to pay his way into the pool. Mr. Sewell stated they began to argue and he wanted to leave but Ms. [VICTIM ] had his phone.
Mr. Sewell stated he was sitting in the passenger seat asking for his phone and Ms. [VICTIM ] was accusing him of having her car keys. Mr. Sewell did admit to punching the dash out of anger because Ms. [VICTIM ] wouldn’t give him his phone. Mr. Sewell advised Ms. [VICTIM ] that she drove there and he never had her keys. Mr. Sewell advised Ms. [VICTIM ] began slamming her head into the steering wheel over and over to the point she started bleeding. Mr. Sewell stated Ms. [VICTIM ] began screaming saying she was calling the police. Mr. Sewell stated Ms. [VICTIM ] got out of the car screaming call the police Mr. Sewell advised that’s when he got of the vehicle and sat on the bench.
I later spoke to Ms. [VICTIM ] who’s story changed multiple times. Ms. [VICTIM ] stated she went and picked up Mr. Sewell this morning and went to Walmart. Ms. [VICTIM ] stated the two began to argue and he left him there but before leaving told him they were going to Dellinger to the pool. Ms. [VICTIM ] stated she didn’t know how Mr. Sewell knew where they were but he always finds her. I then asked Ms. [VICTIM ] if she remembered sending Mr. Sewell the money by Cash App for him to pay his way into the poll, she stated she did. When I asked Ms. [VICTIM ] how the altercation took place she stated they began arguing about a drug test. Ms. [VICTIM ] stated that she was sitting in her car, feet outside on the pavement, Mr. Sewell in the passenger seat, and she was looking for her keys. Ms. [VICTIM ] stated she was accusing Mr. Sewell of having them. Ms. [VICTIM ] then stated that Mr. Sewell was standing outside the car at the drivers door arguing and out of no where, Mr. Sewell punched her in the face, causing her to blackout.
I asked Ms. [VICTIM ] if I could speak with the oldest juvenile, and she stated yes. When I asked Juvenile 1 what he saw, Ms. [VICTIM ] continually began stating what happened and Juvenile 1 would state the same. Juvenile first stated Mr. Sewell was in the passenger seat, inside the car then stated Mr. Sewell was standing at the driver side of the car and hit mommy in the face until she started bleeding. I asked Juvenile 1 how any times did dad hit mom and he stated 1 time.
Due to no unbiased witnesses, video and also conflicting statements, no charges were filed. Parties were separated. Both Ms. [VICTIM ] and Mr. Sewell had been drinking alcohol. Mr. Sewell walked away from the scene and Ms. [VICTIM ] was picked up by her aunt. While Ms. [VICTIM ] was gathering belongings from the vehicle, she located the keys to the car. The vehicle had no valid insurance and suspended registration. I advised Ms. [VICTIM ] of this information. The vehicle was left on scene to be picked up at a later time.
