On Friday, September 20, 2024
, at approximately 0523 hours, I responded to [50 BLOCK] Mayfield Rd Cartersville, Bartow County, Georgia in reference to a dispute.
Upon arrival, I met with [VICTIM ], who advised his brother Boyd Jenkins was yelling, and disturbing his peace.
While law enforcement was speaking with [VICTIM ] about why he had ed E-911, Boyd was sitting behind him. Right after [VICTIM ] advised Boyd was disturbing his peace, Boyd yelled “fu*k you” to [VICTIM ]. When Boyd yelled the abusive words at [VICTIM ], he was speaking with law enforcement. It was my observation that Boyd had no reason to yell the abusive words at [VICTIM ].
Due to Boyd yelling the abusive words at [VICTIM ], myself and Deputy M. Flowers attempted to place Boyd under arrest. Boyd was told he was going to jail, and to place his hands behind his back. Boyd advised no way, continued yelling vulgar language, and would not place his hands behind his back. Both deputies had to force Boyd’s hands behind his back.
Boyd was placed under arrest and transported to the Bartow County Jail, where custody was exchanged with Bartow County Jail staff.
I secured three state warrants on Boyd, one for disorderly conduct, and two for willful obstruction of law enforcement.
