On July 6, 2024
, at approximately 1321 hours, I, Deputy E. Beck, was advised by central dispatch a male identifying himself to be Jeremy Compton (offender) called with questions regarding a monkey being his “emotional support animal.” He further advised dispatch he was drunk but did not want Emergency Medical Services.
I made several attempts to Jeremy back, however each call went to voicemail, which had not been set up.
Amidst me attempting to make with Jeremy, it became evident he was intentionally not answering his phone but was continuing to call the 911 center with different “complaints.” Eventually he began using profanity with central dispatch, continually stating over and over, “fuk everything…fuk all of it.” Jeremy was unable to provide legitimate reasons for his calls to the 911 center. His conduct directly impeded and interfered with the 911 center’s duties and affected multiple personnel.
He called at 1252 hours, 1313 hours, 1339 hours, and 1355 hours. He advised at one point he had a hurt finger but did not want anyone to do anything about it (including Emergency Medical Services), he just wanted to send a photo to dispatch so they could tell him what to do with it.
Due to the above, I responded to [2200 BLOCK] S Hwy 41, Perry, in an attempt to locate and arrest Jeremy for unlawful conduct during a 911 call. Multiple attempts were made to make with Jeremy at the residence door, however all attempts yielded negative results.
At 1501 hours, I again responded to the residence in an attempt to locate Jeremy, but my attempt was unsuccessful.
At 1748 hours, Jeremy ed the 911 center and made some suicidal threats, before advising he needed assistance with his bitcoin and finances. He further advised, however, he would not answer the door if law enforcement came to his house.
Patrol units responded to Jeremy’s residence and were successful in making with him and placing him under arrest in properly spaced handcuffs. He was transported to the Houston County Detention Center.
On July 7, 2024
, I sought a warrant for unlawful conduct on a 911 call, which was approved and served by the Houston County Magistrate Court.
