, I PFC Brummitt responded to a report of a hit and run vehicle collision on Shorter Ave near Redmond Cir. Upon arrival I made with [VICTIM ] who advised a white Honda Odyssey entered her lane and struck her vehicle. I was approached by [REDACTED] who worked at Marco’s Pizza and he showed me video of the vehicle collision from their security cameras. I observed a white Honda Odyssey pull out from the Gala shopping center and strike the passenger side of vehicle 2. Vehicle 1 then left without stopping to render aid or provide information.
I was able to locate a white Honda Odyssey parked behind the Green Tomato. The vehicle had damage to the front end consistent with vehicle 2 damage. Upon running the vehicle in GCIC a photo of the owner was obtained. The owner, [WITNESS ], was located inside with a female, Floridalma Ramerez. [WITNESS ] stated he had allowed Floridalma to drive his car because she was a friend of his. Floridalma met him there to eat. [WITNESS ] stated he drove there in a different vehicle was confirmed by running the tag of the vehicle he stated he drove which returned to him.
Officer Blankenship responded to the scene to assist with translation. Floridalma stated she had gone to LaMexicana to pick up food and then was meeting [WITNESS ] at the Green Tomato. Floridalma stated she did hit another vehicle when she entered the roadway and was scared so she left the scene.
I placed Floridalma under arrest for hit and run and transported her to the Floyd hospital for a medical clearance for jail. Then I transported her to the Floyd county jail for booking without incident.
