at 0059 hours I, Officer Parola and Officer Wood, responded non emergent to [REDACTED BY AGENCY] Magnolia Acres in reference to a domestic dispute in progress.
Once we arrived on scene we activated our body cameras and were advised by dispatch that one of the parties from the call had just called dispatch and advised that they had a stab wound. We then made with the suspect Jacobia Mcgee, the victim [REDACTED BY AGENCY] along with two witness to the altercation [WITNESS ] and [REDACTED BY AGENCY] I began to speak with [WITNESS ] and his brother [REDACTED BY AGENCY] outside the apartment and was advised by them that [REDACTED BY AGENCY] had the stab wound to his left hand. I asked them to explain to me what had happened to which [WITNESS ] stated that their mother, Ms. Mcgee, was arguing with [WITNESS ] at first, and then began to argue with [REDACTED BY AGENCY] about cleaning the kitchen. [WITNESS ] stated that Ms. Mcgee at one had grabbed a black metal pipe of some sort while arguing with [REDACTED BY AGENCY], to which [REDACTED BY AGENCY] told her to put it down, stating that [REDACTED BY AGENCY] had been hit in the past with objects by Ms. Mcgee.
After Ms. Mcgee refused to put the pipe down, [REDACTED BY AGENCY] stated that [REDACTED BY AGENCY] then began to hit Ms. Mcgee multiple times, while [REDACTED BY AGENCY] stood by not wanting to intervene. [REDACTED BY AGENCY] stated that the fighting began to get out of control and he stepped in to separate Ms. Mcgee and [REDACTED BY AGENCY]. [WITNESS ] stated that once they were separated, [REDACTED BY AGENCY] and Ms. Mcgee began to walk away from each other and stated that [REDACTED BY AGENCY] went to his room, while Ms. Mcgee went to the kitchen and grabbed a knife. [REDACTED BY AGENCY] continued to say that when he went into his room and attempted to close his door but Ms. Mcgee began to attempt to stab [WITNESS ] through the door and door frame before the door could close.
While on scene I observed a deep laceration to [REDACTED BY AGENCY] left hand, and several small lacerations on the back of [REDACTED BY AGENCY] left shoulder. [REDACTED BY AGENCY] stated that he was able to get the door and shut and when he did he just sat hin his room for several seconds looking at the blood dripping from his hand. [REDACTED BY AGENCY] stated that while he was in his room Ms. Mcgee was telling him to come out of his room so she could stab him and kill him. [REDACTED BY AGENCY] stated that he saw his bedroom window was open and decided to jump out of his bedroom window to get away from Ms. Mcgee.
I advised [REDACTED BY AGENCY] that an ambulance was on the way to take a look at his cut, and while speaking to him I observed the small cuts on the back of his shoulder. [REDACTED BY AGENCY] became very aggravated once he saw the cuts on his shoulder and began to walk aggressively towards the apartment’s front door. I told [REDACTED BY AGENCY] several times to stop and to not go in, and cut him off before he was able to enter the apartment. [REDACTED BY AGENCY] began to scream that he would kill Ms. Mcgee. Due to [REDACTED BY AGENCY] aggression I placed him in handcuffs in front of him and double locked them to prevent him from further escalating the situation. I began to walk [REDACTED BY AGENCY] to my patrol car where Officer Wood and Deputy Kirkland from BCSO began to treat his injuries prior to EMA’s arrival on scene.
I then went and placed Ms. Mcgee in handcuffs behind her back and double locked them while informing her she was being detained for the investigation, I then patted down Ms. Mcgee using the back of my hands for any possible weapons and placed her in the back seat of my patrol car. EMA arrived on scene and transported to Burke Health. Prior to the ambulance leaving the scene we went inside the apartment where [WITNESS ] pointed out to Officer Wood and myself the knife that was used during the altercation. I recovered the knife which still had small amounts of blood on the blade and placed it inside an evidence bag in my patrol car. I then attempted to DFCS in reference to the case but could not get in with anyone.
I asked Mr. [WITNESS ] what he had seen during the altercation, to which he stated that he was woken up by the arguing between Ms. Mcgee and [WITNESS ] and stated he thought the apartment was getting broken into and left his room to investigate. Mr. [WITNESS ] stated that when he left his room he observed that [REDACTED BY AGENCY] was pushing Ms. Mcgee down the hallway towards his room, and [WITNESS ] went into his room without further incident.
I then asked Ms. Mcgee for her side of the altercation. Ms. Mcgee stated that she had asked [WITNESS ] to clean up the kitchen when he suddenly jumped on top of her and began to physically attack her by punching her several times. Ms. Mcgee stated that [WITNESS ] was the one that attempted to grab the knife but she was able to wrestle it away from him, and that he had caused his injuries to himself while they were fighting for control over the knife. Ms. Mcgee stated that [REDACTED BY AGENCY] then went into his room and jumped out of his window.
Officer Wood then ed INV Hambrick who stated to release Ms. Mcgee and to apply for a warrant for her arrest due to four smaller children inside the residence and us not being able to DFACS.
Once we left the scene, myself and Officer Wood went to Burke Health to gather [REDACTED BY AGENCY] information. Once the two juveniles were released from the hospital I transported them to the Police Department to await for DFCS to arrive for a report.
