at 1051 hrs., I, Ofc. Zeta, was dispatched to the area of Watson Blvd. and Briarcliff Rd. in reference to a Welfare Check. Upon arrival, I made with Uriah Lawson, standing in the middle of Watson Blvd. Mr. Lawson appeared to be having a mental breakdown.
Mr. Lawson requested to be transported to Houston Health Care. Upon arriving to the Emergency Room, Mr. Lawson began yelling at multiple individuals in the hospital before walking to the back area of the check in window. At this time, Officers attempted to detain Mr. Lawson. Mr. Lawson pulled away and attempted to face our direction, in the perception of preparing to fight. Mr. Lawson was placed into custody before being turned over to the hospital for [REDACTED BY AGENCY] evaluation.
I gathered the information and will be signing warrants at the next available date.
Sgt. Fussell was informed of this incident.
