On September 27, 2024, I, Deputy Sheriff Gruber, responded to 53 Poplar Rd in reference to a subject armed.
Upon my arrival on scene, Newnan Police already had the subject detained in handcuffs and removed from the altercation. Upon further investigation I spoke with [REDACTED BY AGENCY] the caller who advised me that Teyonn Donaldson had pulled a gun on him after wanting to fight over a woman by the name of [VICTIM #1]. Teyonn and [VICTIM #1] have an on and off relationship and according to [REDACTED BY AGENCY] he stated that they were currently separated and he was seeing her.
I spoke with [VICTIM #1] as well and she advised me that no gun was pointed and also referred to Teyonn as her ex. I went inside to view the surveillance footage from the store and it can be seen that Teyonn goes inside the store while [REDACTED BY AGENCY] was currently inside and return after short time back to his vehicle. No firearm is ever brandished or pointed on video at another. I went and spoke to Teyonn, after reading him Miranda Warning, and asked him what happened. Teyonn openly admitted to going inside the store to tell [REDACTED BY AGENCY] to come outside and fight. Teyonn made this statement several times. Teyonn also admitted to having a firearm, however he never pointed said firearm at anyone.
Newnan Police Departments VICE unit assisted with my scene and was able to locate a firearm in Teyonn’s vehicle. The firearm was turned over to me and put into evidence at the Coweta County Sheriff’s Office.
I also spoke with [REDACTED BY AGENCY] once more and asked if he wished to press charges. [REDACTED BY AGENCY] agreed and I informed Teyonn that he was under arrest and allowed for him to turn property over to [VICTIM #1].
Teyonn was transported to the Coweta County Jail without further incident.
