Tatum #485, responded to [90 BLOCK] Fox Ridge Dr in reference to a dispute that we had received multiple calls about. Upon arrival, I observed a male, later identified as Kevin Smith, in the front yard wearing only a black shirt and black socks, no pants or underwear. Smith had an abrasion to his knee that was bleeding. I asked Smith what was going on and where his pants were. Smith did not speak to me. As I got closer, I observed the smell of an alcoholic beverage coming from his breath. When he tried to sit down, Smith stumbled and fell into the grass.At this time, I went to meet with the caller and victim, [VICTIM #1]. [VICTIM #1] was visibly shaking. She led me to an upstairs bedroom where part of the incident took place. The room was in disarray. There was a tv laying on the floor, there were beverages spilt on the walls and the floor, and there were several holes in the walls. [VICTIM #1] stated that Smith was her boyfriend and started a dispute with her after drinking too much. She stated that she was on the phone with her mother, [VICTIM #2], when Smith started banging on the bedroom door. She opened the door and he slammed it open further causing the door knob to break the dry wall. Smith then grabbed [VICTIM #1] phone from her and threw it at the wall causing it to get stuck in the wall. Smith cornered [VICTIM #1] and started punching her in the jaw. During this, Smith also threw the remote and several drinks into the walls causing 6 or more holes in the dry wall. [VICTIM #1] was able to get away by running down the stairs and outside. Smith followed, but fell down the stairs causing the abrasion to his knee and a knot on his forehead. [VICTIM #1] screamed for help outside. [VICTIM #1] stated that Smith was her boyfriend, but they did not live together, therefore the case was not family violence.At this time, 911 received another call from an anonymous subject stating that a male was in the street half naked, chasing a female that was screaming for help. The caller stated that the male was punching the female.[VICTIM #1] got away again and locked Smith out until officers arrived.The 3rd caller was [VICTIM #2], [VICTIM #1] mother and the owner. [VICTIM #2] stated that she heard the altercation via the telephone. She stated that she heard Smith screaming gibberish, a loud boom, then everything was muffled. This is when the phone got stuck in the drywall. [VICTIM #2] estimated that the damage to the drywall was approximately $500 and the remote was approximately $50.I was able to locate Smith’s pants in his vehicle. Smith gave me permission to enter the vehicle and retrieve the pants. While I was with the Smith and [VICTIM #1] as they were writing their victim/witness statements, Ofc. Fowler put Smith’s pants on him and escorted him to my patrol car. Ofc. Fowler advised me that Smith would not speak to him regarding the incident, he only held his hands up and said he was sorry. Ofc. Fowler placed Smith in handcuffs to the rear that were double locked and checked for fit. We then seatbelted Smith into the ed backseat of my patrol car.Smith was transported to CCSO jail and charged with criminal damage to property in 2nd degree, public indecency, and simple battery.[End of Narrative].
