On 9/19/2024
at 17:55 myself and Corp Patlan were dispatched to [300 BLOCK] John P Mincey Rd In reference to a gate blocking an easement from a land owner accessing his property.
Upon are arrival we were met by [WITNESS ] and [WITNESS ] who stated that there was a gate on the easement and they wanted the gate removed. While we were talking to them LINDSAY GROSE’S mother was out at the gate, I was unable to get her information before she walked off to get her daughter LINDSAY. While continuing to talk to [WITNESS ] LT Beasley arrived on scene and advised that he was familiar with the situation due to passed dealings with the family case number (2024
060126).
I then noticed a female running through the woods and when she made it to us she stated “This is my property and you are trespassing you need to leave now” I advised LINDSAY that we were not done talking to [WITNESS ], the complaint, and as soon as we were done we would be leaving. LINDSAY continued to say “You need to leave my property your trespassing” and continued to raise her voice as I was trying to conduct my investigation she continued to interrupt me and unnecessarily escalating the situation. My self and the other deputy’s on scene instructed LINDSAY to leave several times due to her presence not being needed. LINDSAY looked right at LT Beasley and said “you are that jacka*s that was out here before” at the point in time I advised LINDSAY that she was being placed under arrest, when I went to grab her arm to place it behind her back she snatched it from me. I advised LINDSAY to not to pull away again and I was able to get her into handcuffs I informed her that she was being charged with Disorderly Conduct and Obstruction of a law enforcement Officer. I placed LINDSAY in the back of my patrol vehicle for transport to the Toombs County Detention Center.
While en route to the detention center LINDSAY stated that her handcuffs were to tight and they needed to be loosened. I pulled over and had her step out of the vehicle where I loosened both cuffs and mad sure that they both were double locked. Before pulling over to fix her handcuffs she stated that she need an ambulance to check her wrist because of her complaining that the handcuffs were to tight. After adjusting the handcuffs she never made another complaint about them until arriving at the detention center where she stated that I had denied her EMS. While in booking Corp Patlan removed that handcuffs from LINDSAY and as he did she stated that I denied her EMS and she claimed she had internal injuries to her wrist to which she self diagnosed. I turned LINDSAY over to the jail staff for booking and processing.
