On September 16, 2024
, while on uniformed patrol I arrived at [2500 BLOCK] Nottingham Dr for a domestic dispute at 1245 hours.
Upon my arrival I witnessed a female (Mersade Green) walking in the driveway and entering a white truck that was parked. Officer Lowry made with Ms. Green at the vehicle. I then made with the complainant ([VICTIM ]) at the vehicle as well. Ms. Green stated that Mr. [VICTIM ] was not who he said he was and had his driver license. I asked Mr. [VICTIM ] to talk to me over by the entry way of the residence. Mr. [VICTIM ] and I moved over to the entry way to speak. He advised me that he “picked her up off the street” to help her get back on her feet. Mr. [VICTIM ] stated that she has been staying at his residence for three weeks to a month. Ms. Green has been causing issues within the with Mr. [VICTIM ] and is the reason why he wants her to leave. He described Ms. Greens behavior to be unruly.
He handed over her belongings that were inside the house. Mr. [VICTIM ] handed over a large black trash bag with clothing inside of it and a pink Nintendo Switch. He then went back inside the house to retrieve more items of Ms. Green. I asked Mr. [VICTIM ] if he could step back outside before we get the rest of her belongings. He did not listen to my request and kept walking inside the house. I informed Mr. [VICTIM ] if he did not step outside, I will detain him. He understood and stepped back outside of the . I informed Mr. [VICTIM ] that I did not want him roaming around the house without me being able to see him due to officer safety reasons. Mr. [VICTIM ] acknowledged the reasons behind him staying outside.
While speaking with Mr. [VICTIM ], Ms. Green started to call him a “bich”. Mr. [VICTIM ] started to yell back at Ms. Green and stated that “when she goes to sleep, you’re going to hell bich”. He continued to get louder. I then raised my voice at Mr. [VICTIM ] and explained to him if he doesn’t stop yelling that I will detain him. Mr. [VICTIM ] stopped yelling, and we moved to the doorway of the . Mr. [VICTIM ] started to get agitated with me and stated that “I’m going to see god tonight”. He started to speak some sort of gibberish to me. Mr. [VICTIM ] kept speaking about God and “hellfire”. He then stated that Ms. Green broke an object that was on a small table in near the front door. I observed a shattered object on the ground that Mr. [VICTIM ] was cleaning up. Mr. [VICTIM ] advised me that he never hit Ms. Green but was trying to get her out the house when the object was broke.
After Officer Lowry spoke to Ms. Green, I was advised that we were going to transport her to Chatham Savannah Authority for the less. Ms. Green’s brother lives in Hinesville and was unable to pick her up. She was advised that we were unable to transport her to Hinesville. While I was looking up the address to where I was going to transport Ms. Green, Sargent Woodcock pointed out that Ms. Green walked into the back yard. Officer Lowry and I followed her into the backyard and told her that she had to leave. Ms. Green stated that she was not going to leave without her necklace. Officer. Lowry counted down from five seconds to have Ms. Green leave. She refused to leave, and Officer Lowry and I placed Ms. Green under arrest for disorderly conduct. Ms. Green was then placed into the back of my patrol vehicle. We then placed her belongings inside the trunk of my vehicle.
I transported Ms. Green to CCDC. While transporting Ms. Green, she advised me that she was slightly intoxicated from drinking wine earlier. She stated that her and Mr. [VICTIM ] got into an argument after she got a bottle of wine. She stated that he did not strike her, but they were “wrestling” around. Ms. Green kept repeating that Mr. [VICTIM ] was not Mr. [VICTIM ] and that he was giving us a fake identity. I explained to Ms. Green while transporting her to CCDC why she was under arrest multiple times. She kept trying to argue the entire time I was explaining it to her. She then got upset and kicked the inside of my patrol vehicle a few times. As we arrived to CCDC she informed the nurse that she was in a fight, and I was told I had to get Ms. Green medically cleared from Memorial hospital in order for them to book her into CCDC.
I transported Ms. Green to Memorial Hospital from CCDC. While transporting Ms. Green, she stated that Mr. [VICTIM ] recently beat her up in front of witness. She informed me that she had a bite mark on her thigh and that her eye just healed from being struck by Mr. [VICTIM ]. Ms. Green and I arrived at Memorial Hospital where she continued to be verbally combative towards me. She then was cleared by a medical professional at Memorial Hospital.
I then transported Ms. Green back to CCDC from Memorial Hospital. We arrived at CCDC at 1555 hours. She was then booked for disorderly conduct and provided a $1,000.00 bond. I then went to 395 Police Memorial Dr (Headquarters) to log all her belongings into the Chatham County property room for safekeeping.
Ms. Green was given a CRN card that was placed into her property bag at CCDC. A hand receipt for Ms. Green’s property was also placed into her property bag at CCDC. She was also informed where she could pick up her belongings.
