On 12 October 2024
I was dispatched to [300 BLOCK] Mendel Ave. in reference to a domestic.
Once I arrived, I spoke to Josh McCain. He stated that him and his brother Shemar Tucker got into an argument, and Shamar pulled a sword off the wall. He also stated that Shamar punched him in the face because he was talking about him, but he did not want to press any charges.
I spoke with Shamar. He stated that he was at the back door and heard his family members talking about him and he wanted to address the situation. He stated that he did grab the sword off the wall, but had no intention of using it. He stated he only grabbed the sword because his brother is bigger and stronger thaan him and will beat him up, he only grabbed it in order to make sure his brother did not “run up on him”.
I ran both individuals through NCIC/GCIC. Josh McCain came back wanted out of McDuffie County for CSRA Probation. I was unable to obtain a copy of the warrant due to sever issues at the Mcduffie County Jail.
They were both placed in handcuffs, double locked for comfort, and placed into the rear seat of my patrol vehicle and transport it to the Law Enforcement Center where they were given citations for disorderly conduct.
