On 09/22/2024
approximately 21:34 I, Cpl Vannoy and Deputy Maddox responded to [400 BLOCK] Bryant Rd due to [400 BLOCK] Bryant Rd due to Elijah Smith causing a disturbance at the residence.
When I arrived I spoke with [WITNESS ] about what had happened. [WITNESS ] advised that her son Elijah Smith was yelling and screaming at her when he went into his room. [WITNESS ] then stated Elijah then left his room where he threw a cheese can that busted all over the floor, and went out the back door. I then asked what was Elijah last seen wearing where I was advised a black hoodie and gray sweat pants and was approximately 5’6 around 150 pounds.
I then went outside with Deputy Maddox to check the woods for Elijah Smith. I then told Deputy Maddox to check the area of Bryant Rd to see if he went walking down the road. At this time I noticed the dogs in the yard barking at the shed located in the back yard. I then used my flashlight where I noticed a male laying on the roof of the shed. I then told the male to come down where Elijah Smith came down. I then placed hand cuffs to fit and double lock where I advised Elijah he was detained at this time.
After I placed Elijah Smith in the backseat of my patrol car I asked him what happened. Elijah Smith stated his mother disrespected him. I then explained to him that he was 17 years old and he needed to respect his mother where he would not accept responsibility at all for his actions. Due to the statements provided I placed Elijah Smith under arrest for disorderly conduct. I then transported Elijah Smith to the Murray County Jail without incident.
