Discretion is advised.]On 2/16/25 at 7:22pm, I was dispatched to [700 BLOCK] Bonds Lake Rd in reference to a dispute.While enroute, dispatch advised the suspect, later identified as Josh Castleberry, had a gun in his possession while the dispute was taking place.When units were approximately 5 mins away from the residence, dispatch advised that Josh Castleberry had left the house and was at his shed in the yard with the gun.Upon my arrival, I located Josh sitting on the steps of the shed at the residence. Given the nature of the call, I drew my department issued firearm (seriel #BHFW959) and pointed it at Josh Castleberry while giving verbal commands to him. I instructed Josh to stand up off the steps of the shed and to put his hands in the air while walking to the front of my patrol vehicle. Josh proceeded to stand up, while keeping his hands in the air, he then proceeded to slowly walk towards my vehicle.When Josh was close to the front of my patrol vehicle, I instructed Josh to turn around while keeping his hands above his head. I then holstered my county issued firearm to detain Josh and his person for weapons. I advised Josh that he was not under arrest and that he was only being detained. I handcuffed Josh with his hands behind his back.Cpl. Townsend 630 was on scene at this time with me, after detaining Josh, she proceeded to talk to the victims at the residence standing on the front porch at the time.I began my investigation, I asked Josh Castleberry if he had any firearms on his person, he stated the weapon was located in the shed he had been sitting in front of. When asked how the incident occurred, Josh stated he witnessed [VICTIM ] taking the power cable from his shed which connected to Josh’s heater. Josh Castleberry stated he paid for the WiFi in the residence that the victims are living in and that he entered the house to get the WiFi box.While inside the residence, he stated he was being pulled out of the residence and told to leave. He stated he witnessed juvenile [VICTIM ] with a razor blade, holding it upright and in front of his body. According to Josh, he felt threatened by this and proceeded to grab his handgun from his shed in order to protect himself.Sgt. Hunt stayed with Josh Castle while I spoke to the complaintants on the front porch. When I asked the subjects what had happened, [VICTIM ] stated Josh Castleberry had been given an eviction notice during the month of January. [VICTIM ] stated that on this date, Josh fired two rounds from his handgun into the air and gave [VICTIM ] a middle finger. The middle finger is an obscene hand gesture that communicates strong dislike and is roughly equivalent in meaning “fu*k you”. Unhappy by the shots being fired and the obscene hand gesture, [VICTIM ] proceeded to unplug and take the power extension cord from the house to the shed. He stated that after he took the cord, Josh Castleberry had forced himself into the residence through the front door to retrieve the WiFi box that Josh pays for. He stated that himself and [VICTIM ] had attempted to pull [JOSH] out of their residence, and that his son, [VICTIM ], had grabbed a razor blade in case Josh Castleberry decided to get violent with residents of the dwelling.[VICTIM ] continued after Josh Castleberry left from the residence that he walked to his shed in the front yard, grabbed a handgun from his shed and proceeded to charge the handgun and pointed it at [VICTIM ], [VICTIM ], [VICTIM ] and [VICTIM ] who were all at this time standing on the front porch.Once my investigation had been completed, I advised Josh Castleberry that he was under arrest, and he was ed and placed into the back of my patrol vehicle.
