Brooks responded with other Deputies to the above stated address on Duncan Swindle Road in reference to a domestic dispute with injuries. Dispatch advised that the caller said a male subject had a knife and had cut his girlfriend. Dispatch advised that the male still had the knife and was still on scene.Upon my arrival, I made with four people standing in the driveway to the residence. One female was holding a bloody cloth to her face. When I asked where the male was they all stated that he had just left the scene in a Ford Escape with a Georgia tag of #[REDACTED]. I gave the tag information to dispatch and advised other deputies enroute to start looking for the vehicle.I then spoke with the victim, [VICTIM ], (hereafter referred to as [VICTIM ].) [VICTIM ] was holding a blood stained cloth to her face. [VICTIM ] stated that her boyfriend, Kareem Moon (hereafter referred to as Moon) cut her face with a knife. [VICTIM ] stated that she and Moon were in a verbal altercation over money. [VICTIM ] stated that Moon had taken her money and that she was questioning him about it when the argument became heated. [VICTIM ] stated that she couldn’t remember every detail but remember Moon “slashing” at her with something then feeling pain on the left side of her face and upper lip. [VICTIM ] stated at that time, she started yelling to the other family members in the house for help and to call 911.I then spoke with the original caller, [VICTIM ], (hereafter referred to as [VICTIM ].) [VICTIM ] is [VICTIM ]’s daughter. [VICTIM ] stated when she heard [VICTIM ] calling for help, she got out of bed and ran into [VICTIM ]’s bedroom. [VICTIM ] stated when she entered the bedroom she saw Moon standing over [VICTIM ] shaking a knife at her. [VICTIM ] stated that’s when she realized that [VICTIM ] was bleeding and she called 911 for help.[VICTIM ] stated once Moon realized she was calling the police, Moon exited the residence and was standing in the driveway. [VICTIM ] stated at this time Moon still had the knife in his hand. [VICTIM ] stated as Moon was getting in his vehicle to leave, he yelled that he “would be back tomorrow and that he was going to kill everyone.”I then made with a juvenile who will be referred to as [VICTIM ]. [VICTIM ] came outside the residence after Moon exited the house and was standing in the driveway. [VICTIM ] heard Moon threaten everyone that he would be back tomorrow to kill them.I then made with [VICTIM ], (hereafter referred to as [VICTIM ].) [VICTIM ] is [VICTIM ]’s husband. [VICTIM ] stated when he walked outside the residence he observed that Moon still had the knife in his hand and that he also heard Moon threaten to come back tomorrow and kill everyone.I asked everyone on scene what the knife looked like and they all stated it was a hunting style knife with a green handle and a black sheath. We ed inside and outside the residence for the knife but were unable to locate it. [VICTIM ] stated at this time that he probably threw the knife or hid it inside one of the tool boxes inside the vehicle. [VICTIM ] then went on to say this is not the first time that Moon has assaulted [VICTIM ] and that he has attacked her with a knife before. I asked [VICTIM ] if Moon was known to have any firearms and she stated that she had seen one before but wasn’t sure if it was real or fake.I obtained photos of [VICTIM ]’s injuries and EMS responded to the scene to evaluate her. After EMS evaluated [VICTIM ]’s injuries she declined transport to the hospital.While I was gathering information from the victim and witnesses on scene, Cpl. Bond had advised that he was following the vehicle down HWY 98 West towards Jackson County. I advised Cpl. Bond that we would have felony charges against Moon and to just follow him until he could get more units to assist him with a high risk traffic stop.Cpl. Bond and Deputy Bennett did perform a high risk traffic stop on that vehicle in Jackson County on HWY 441 @ S Elm Street. Jackson County Sheriff’s Office and Commerce Police were also there to assist. Moon was taken into custody and transported to the Madison County Jail for booking.I will be obtaining the following warrants on Moon; One count Aggravated Assault and Four counts of Felony Terroristic Threats.[End of Narrative].
