Discretion is advised.]On the date of February 15th, 2025, at 2345 hours, I was dispatched to a dispute that was occurring at [50 BLOCK] Lois Kinney Road. I responded to the area “Code 1”.Upon arrival, I met with Brittany Dennis. Ms. Dennis informed me that she was “an alcoholic and needed her alcohol”. Ms. Dennis explained that someone had taken her “property”, which was determined to be a large bottle of Vodka. Ms. Dennis was slurring her words, and I could smell an odor that is commonly associated with alcoholic beverages coming from Ms. Dennis’ breath and person. I left Ms. Dennis to speak with Sgt. Bond and went inside the residence.I spoke with [VICTIM ] and [VICTIM ]. Ms. [VICTIM ] informed me that Ms. Dennis, Ms. [VICTIM ]’s daughter, had recently been released from jail and had only been staying at the residence for a few days. Ms. [VICTIM ] stated that when Ms. Dennis was first allowed to stay at the residence, she was told that no alcohol or drugs would be brought inside the house. Ms. [VICTIM ] stated that someone did find a bag containing the large bottle of vodka and that it was placed on the back porch, away from Ms. Dennis. Ms. [VICTIM ] stated that Ms. Dennis was an alcoholic and became “mean” when intoxicated.I informed Ms. [VICTIM ] that the bottle would have to be returned to Ms. Dennis since it was her property. Ms. [VICTIM ] was advised that if Ms. Dennis had broken an agreement with staying at the location, then she could have her removed from the property since Ms. Dennis had not established residency. Ms. Dennis was informed that her family did not want her at the residence if she was drinking alcohol. Ms. Dennis stated that she would leave the residence then. Ms. Dennis had previously advised she had nowhere to go and no means of transportation. Ms. Dennis was presented with the fact that if she got her bottle of alcohol back, she would be out on the street with no means to get anywhere else. Ms. Dennis understood that and requested to have her bottle of alcohol back so she could leave.After being unable to get anyone to come pick her up, Ms. Dennis and Ms. [VICTIM ] came to an agreement that Ms. Dennis could stay at the residency if Ms. Dennis turned over the bottle of alcohol to Ms. [VICTIM ] and went to sleep in a back bedroom. Ms. Dennis gave the bottle of alcohol to Ms. [VICTIM ] and went to the bedroom. Since no crimes had been committed and the dispute had ended, deputies left the scene. This is incident 2025-00009726.Approximately 10 minutes after clearing from the previous incident, I was dispatched back to [50 BLOCK] Lois Kinney Road at 0058 hours on February 16th, 2025. I responded to the area “Code 1”.Upon arrival, I observed Ms. Dennis and Ms. [VICTIM ] on the front porch of [50 BLOCK] Lois Kinney Road. Ms. [VICTIM ] was telling Ms. Dennis to get away from her. I again met with Ms. Dennis who stated that Ms. [VICTIM ] had “beat her as”. I asked Ms. Dennis how this had occurred. Ms. Dennis stated that she had come out of the room she was lying down in and asked Ms. [VICTIM ] for a cigarette. Ms. [VICTIM ] was on the phone and Ms. Dennis stated that she had grabbed for Ms. [VICTIM ]’s phone in an attempt to get Ms. [VICTIM ] off the phone. Ms. Dennis stated that she then turned to go back to her room and Ms. [VICTIM ] then got out of the chair she was in and attacked Ms. Dennis in the hallway. Ms. Dennis stated that she had not made any comments to Ms. [VICTIM ] and had not done anything other than try to get the phone away from Ms. [VICTIM ]. I went inside to speak with Ms. [VICTIM ]. Ms. [VICTIM ] stated that she was on the phone with her other daughter and Ms. Dennis came into the living room requesting that she be allowed to get a drink from the bottle of alcohol. Ms. [VICTIM ] denied this request. Ms. Dennis then began trying to get the phone away from Ms. [VICTIM ]. Ms. Dennis then pushed Ms. [VICTIM ], who was sitting in a chair. Ms. Dennis was making comments to Ms. [VICTIM ], calling her a “btch”. Ms. [VICTIM ] told Ms. Dennis that she knew she was saying things that would make Ms. [VICTIM ] “whoop her a*s” Ms. Dennis then commented in reference to Ms. [VICTIM ]’s husband not wanting to be with her. Ms. [VICTIM ] stated that she then got out of the chair and went to confront Ms. Dennis. Ms. [VICTIM ] went into the hallway of the residence and Ms. Dennis had turned around to come back toward her. Ms. [VICTIM ] stated that she and Ms. Dennis began fighting each other.Ms. [VICTIM ] stated she could not remember the exact details but knew that she had grabbed MS. Dennis’ jacket and pulled it over her head and Ms. Dennis was swinging closed-handed strikes at Ms. [VICTIM ]. Ms. [VICTIM ] stated that she and Ms. Dennis fell to the ground and then separated. Ms. [VICTIM ] then told Ms. Dennis to leave. Ms. Dennis would not leave, so Ms. [VICTIM ] went out onto the back porch. Ms. Dennis followed Ms. [VICTIM ] onto the back porch. Ms. [VICTIM ] then came back into the house and went towards the front door. Ms. [VICTIM ] stated that Ms. Dennis stated that “if she was going to jail, it was gonna be for something” and Ms. Dennis lunged towards Ms. [VICTIM ], and they fought again. Ms. [VICTIM ] then went to the front porch, where I found them.I listened to an audio recording of the incident, starting just before Ms. [VICTIM ] told Ms. Dennis that she was making comments that would make Ms. [VICTIM ] fight her. I could hear Ms. Dennis shouting at Ms. [VICTIM ]. I heard Ms. Dennis make the comment about Ms. [VICTIM ]’s husband. Ms. Dennis can be heard shouting “You’re going to jail now!” multiple times.[WITNESS ] was on the scene for this incident as well as the previous incident. Mr. [WITNESS ] advised that he had seen Ms. Dennis push Ms. [VICTIM ] while she was sitting and had also observed Ms. Dennis push Ms. [VICTIM ], Ms. Dennis’ grandmother. Mr. [WITNESS ] stated that he had observed this happen when Ms. [VICTIM ] had come back in from the back and Ms. Dennis was trying to follow her. Ms. [VICTIM ] had attempted to stop Ms. Dennis and Ms. Dennis had shoved Ms. [VICTIM ].[WITNESS ] was sitting in the living room and observed Ms. Dennis lunge toward Ms. [VICTIM ] in the living room when Ms. [VICTIM ] was trying to exit the front door.No witnesses observed the fight in the hallway. Ms. Dennis did have a red mark on her forehead. Ms. Dennis stated that the mark had occurred in the hallway. Ms. [VICTIM ] stated that she did not know when the mark might have occurred.I determined that Ms. Dennis was the predominant aggressor in this incident. Given that Ms. Dennis was heavily intoxicated and confrontational with Ms. [VICTIM ]. I have two witnesses who stated Ms. Dennis initially shoved Ms. [VICTIM ] while she was sitting down. Ms. Dennis was also warned by Ms. [VICTIM ] that the comments she was making were aggravating Ms. [VICTIM ] to the point of wanting to fight her. Ms. Dennis continued to make comments in a provoking way.After listening to the testimony of the witnesses and listening to the audio recording. I again asked Ms. Dennis if she had made any comments to Ms. [VICTIM ]. Ms. Dennis stated that she ahd made no comments to MS. [VICTIM ] whatsoever. I asked Ms. Dennis what she had done after the fight in the hallway. Ms. Dennis stated that she had simply stood in the hallway, not moving or making any statements to anyone in the house, until my arrival.I developed probable cause that Ms. Dennis had committed the following offenses.O.C.G.A.- 16-5-23- Simple Battery (family violence) Ms. Dennis did make unwanted physical with Ms. [VICTIM ] when she shoved Ms. [VICTIM ] while she was sitting down in a chair.O.C.G.A.- 16-5-23- Simple battery (family violence)- Ms. Dennis did make unwanted physical with MS. [VICTIM ] when Ms. Dennis lunged toward Ms. [VICTIM ] in the living room, causing a second fight to occur.O.C.G.A.- 16-5-23(c)- Simple battery against a person over the age of 65- Ms. Dennis did make unwanted physical with Ms. [VICTIM ] when she shoved Ms. [VICTIM ] to get to Ms. [VICTIM ]. Ms. [VICTIM ] was trying to keep Ms. Dennis and Ms. [VICTIM ] separated. Ms. [VICTIM ] is over the age of 65.Warrants will be taken for the previously mentioned charges.Ms. Dennis was placed under arrest for the previously mentioned charges. Ms. Dennis was told to turn around and place her hands behind her back. Ms. Dennis was informed she was under arrest. Ms. Dennis’ hands were placed behind her back and handcuffs were placed on them. The handcuffs were checked for proper fit and double-locked. I transported Ms. Dennis to the Barrow County Detention Center. , at 2345 hours, I was dispatched to a dispute that was occurring at [50 BLOCK] Lois Kinney Road. I responded to the area “Code 1”.
Upon arrival, I met with Brittany Dennis. Ms. Dennis informed me that she was “an alcoholic and needed her alcohol”. Ms. Dennis explained that someone had taken her “property”, which was determined to be a large bottle of Vodka.
