Kirby responded to 700 Bankhead Highway (Dyson Bar & Grill). Dispatch advised a customer was calling an employee the “N-word” and was refusing to leave. Dispatch advised the suspect came in drunk and was described as a black male with cornrows, wearing a construction jumpsuit.When I arrived, I walked inside Dyson Bar & Grill and observed a black male with cornrows. This male was identified as Darmarcus Cofield. I stood with Darmarcus as he slurred his words and loudly explained the difference between “Ngger” and “Ngga”. I could smell the odor of an alcoholic beverage emanating from his breath as he spoke which made me believe he was under the influence of alcohol. I told Darmarcus that we were there because he was refusing to leave. Darmarcus stated he had someone to take him and then told me to his person. Darmarcus would later withdraw his consent and I would discontinue the . As another officer was asking him for his name and birthday, Darmarcus got close to their face. I felt that this was odd behavior and asked him to step back from that officer. Once I saw that Darmarcus had provided his name and birthday to officers, I spoke with the complainant.I spoke to the complainant, [WITNESS ]. [WITNESS ] stated that Darmarcus came into the bar for approximately 30 minutes. [WITNESS ] stated Darmarcus had not ordered any food or drinks and was yelling out the “N-word”. [WITNESS ] stated this made people uncomfortable and asked him repeatedly to leave. [WITNESS ] told me Darmarcus had refused to leave.Darmarcus was placed under arrest with double-locking cuffs to the rear and put into the rear of my patrol. Darmarcus was ed incident to arrest and a small bottle of an alcoholic bottle was located in his jacket pocket. Darmarcus was criminally trespassed from Dyson Bar & Grill by request of [WITNESS ].[End of Narrative].
