Discretion is advised.][NARRATIVE on February 20, 2025]On 02/20/2025at approximately 19:17 hours, I was dispatched to the area of West Hancock Street and North Tattnall Street, in reference to a possible intoxicated driver who collided with another motor vehicle.The 911 caller advised he had been following the vehicle since being on Georgia Highway 49. The caller stated he was able to witness Harris collide with a motor vehicle parked on West Hancock Street and continue going westbound without stopping. The witness was able to wave down law enforcement officers at the driveway of the house where the intoxicated driver parked, which was [700 BLOCK] West Hancock Street. Upon arrival, I observed the male driver of the 2009 Beige in color Honda Accord (Georgia Tag: [REDACTED], VIN: [REDACTED]) to be very intoxicated. The subject, which was later identified as Cedeki Harris, was stumbling on his feet and was failing to stand up straight without assistance.An odor of alcohol was coming from Harris’ person. I observed Harris with watery eyes and lack of eye focus. When Harris was asked how much he had to drink, he failed to answer the question and spoke about him colliding with another vehicle. All of Harris’s statements were in a slurred speech. When Harris was asked for his driver’s license or name and date of birth multiple times, he failed to provide any information other than, “just take me to jail.” I observed the Honda Accord with damage to the passenger side rear window, passenger side front window, front window shield, and hood.After further investigation, Sargent Brandon Crawford 5 ed the driver of a 2019 white in color Ford F450 (Indiana Tag: [REDACTED], VIN: [REDACTED]) at Baldwin County Courthouse, 121 North Wilkinson Street. [VICTIM ] advised he was not in the vehicle at the time of collision.Harris was placed in double locked handcuffs per department policy and transported to Baldwin County Law Enforcement Center, 119 Old Monticello Road, without incident. Pictures of the damage on the Honda Accord Harris was driving were attached to the report. A warrant for hit and run, driving under the influence of alcohol, and obstructing a law enforcement officer (misdemeanor) were secured.[End of Narrative][NARRATIVE on February 20, 2025]On 02/20/2025at approximately 1915 hours, Dispatch advised of a gold Honda Accord (license plate: [REDACTED]) was heading inbound driving recklessly on the road. Dispatch advised the complainant, [WITNESS ], was following behind the vehicle and observed the vehicle being in two lanes. While enroute to the call, Dispatch advised the vehicle struck a parked white Ford F450 (license plate: [REDACTED]). Dispatch advised they were informed by [WITNESS ] of the driver, Cedeki Harris, had pulled into [700 BLOCK] West Hancock Street. [WITNESS ] stated he noticed Harris kick the front door of the house open and began to argue with a woman.When I arrived on scene, Harris was stumbling from his vehicle attempting to get back inside of the residence. Harris advised he lives at the location and stated the Ford F450 had backed up in front of him. Harris did not state why he went instead of staying on scene. While speaking with Harris, I observed him stumbling and he was having a hard time trying to stand up straight.[End of Narrative].
