Discretion is advised.]On February 9th, 2025, I was dispatched to [REDACTED BY AGENCY] in regards to a domestic. I arrived with Ofc. Miller 33, where we made with the complainant, [WITNESS ]. As we approached [WITNESS ], I observed a young woman [VICTIM ] sitting on the ground, at the front door, outside of the house. [WITNESS ] stated that [VICTIM ] had been having issues with their other roommate Eliza Vogt. [WITNESS ] stated that Vogt struck [VICTIM ] in the face with a baseball bat. When asked where Vogt was, [WITNESS ] stated that she was in her room at the back of the house on the ground floor. As I made my way to her room, I observed blood splatter on the floor, around the kitchen area, and small droops around Vogt’s bedroom door. I knocked on Vogt’s door to which she opened it up and came out to talk.When I asked Vogt what happened she stated that she was asleep in her room when she woke up to several text from [VICTIM ] telling Vogt, not to eat her food. Vogt responded that it was not her. Both of them continued to argue via texts for a few minutes. The texts escalated to [VICTIM ] calling Vogt a prostitute and made several other remarks about money. Vogt stated that she then heard [VICTIM ] screaming about “Takis”. Vogt stated that she came out of her room, with her bat, stating that [VICTIM ] was yelling in her face. Vogt told her to “go to bed your drunk”. Vogt stated that [VICTIM ] threaten to slap her in the face. Then Vogt stated that she went back to her room, but [VICTIM ] was still yelling at her while she was still holding the bat. [VICTIM ] stated that she warned her that she was going to hit her with the bat if she didn’t back off. Vogt then stated that she hit [VICTIM ] with the bat on her side. After that, Vogt stated that [VICTIM ] grabbed the bat and the two girls then fought over the bat. Vogt said they fought over the bat, past the kitchen/ laundry area and into the bathroom. Vogt stated in the bathroom [WITNESS ] was telling her to give them the bat but was worried if she let go of the bat that [VICTIM ] would get it and attack her some more. Vogt stated at that point, she was able to get into a position where she was able to elbow strike [VICTIM ] in the nose, causing her injuries. Vogt stated that she was able to get control of the bat and go back to her room.It should be noted there were no injuries or redness to either of Vogts elbows.Vogt informed me that the bat was in her room and I could go look at it. I entered her room and saw that bat siting on a green bean bag chair on the floor. As I got closer to the bat, I observed red discoloration on the bat. I picked up the bat, I saw the red colored areas were only in a couple locations on the bat. I put the bat back where it was laying when I waked in. I then went to speak with [WITNESS ] since [VICTIM ] was being treated by squad.[WITNESS ] stated that [VICTIM ] and Vogt have been having issues for the last few days. [WITNESS ] stated that [VICTIM ] was upset about some food items missing when Vogt came out of her room holding a bat. [WITNESS ] stated that both girls were yelling at each other. [WITNESS ] stated that both girls were at Vogt’s bedroom door during this. [WITNESS ] stated that [VICTIM ] asked Vogt if she was going to hit her with the bat to which Vogt stated yes. [WITNESS ] states that both girls argued some more, when Vogt then struck [VICTIM ] in the face with the bat. [WITNESS ] stated that she knew that [VICTIM ] was hit because as she turned her head, [WITNESS ] saw [VICTIM ] bleeding from the face. [WITNESS ] stated that [VICTIM ] did not make any form of movements to Vogt, or threaten Vogt and give Vogt reason to strike her with the bat. [WITNESS ] stated that both girls then fought for control of the bat. During the struggle, they went from Vogt’s room to the bathroom. [WITNESS ] stated that she and [VICTIM ] were both telling Vogt to let go of the bat. [WITNESS ] states that when they were at the bathroom Vogt was able to get the bat from [VICTIM ] and went straight back to her bedroom. [WITNESS ] then called 911.After speaking with [WITNESS ] I then went inside to retrieve the bat from Vogt’s room. I then took the bat, placed it into an evidence bag, filled out an evidence sheet and secured it in my patrol vehicle. I was not able to speak with [VICTIM ] but Ofc. Duggen 67 did speak with her. Ofc. Duggen stated that she told him that Vogt came out of her room holding the bad. That the two of them had an exchange of words, when Vogt struck her in face with the bat. Ofc. Duggen also advised me that that [VICTIM ] had recorded part of the altercation on her cell phone. I have sent [VICTIM ] a Link to eviednce.com asking her to upload what videos she may have.Vogt was arrested for Aggervated Assault FVA (OCGA 16-5-21). She was then transported to CDC by Ofc Henderson 44 for further processing. [VICTIM ] was transported to the hospital for medical treatment. The bat has been logged in and placed into evidence lockers where it be held pending the outcome of this case. Ofc. Mitchell 33 took photos of the crime scene and had uploaded the to Evidence.comThe above report is a brief synopsis of the events and statements given at the time of the report.
