On 10/6/2024
, I was notified anonymously that a male was drawing on the windows of businesses on Adamson Square. Upon arrival, I made with Neal Mcleod sitting on the sidewalk with a cardboard sign. Neal also had a purple permanent marker in his possession. I asked Neal several times what he was doing and if he had written on any windows. Neal would not give me a straight answer to these questions.
While I was speaking with Neal, other officers discovered writing on the outside walls of Atlanta West Jewelry (100 Adamson Square). The writing was in purple marker. After Neal was placed in handcuffs, he admitted to writing on the wall and said “It will wash off.” Nothing else of interest was found on Neal’s person during a incident-to-arrest.
Neal was arrested and charged with:
C66-11A Criminal Trespass (Damages Property)
C66-7(A)(23) Loitering/Prowling
