On September 20th, 2024, at approximately 2157, myself and Officer Ruiz were dispatched to 1281 N Glenwood Ave, The Subway, in reference to a male trespassing.
On scene, Officer Ruiz made contact with the male, Todd Davis. I made contact with the caller, [WITNESS #1]. She said that Todd Davis has been trespassed and is constantly on scene at the Subway. She said he always says inappropriate things to her and other employees on scene. [WITNESS #1] also had a picture of Todd to confirm that it was him. I checked spillman and saw that Todd Davis had been trespassed from the Subway.
I made contact with Todd and could tell that he was heavily intoxicated. He was laying by a dumpster, near Glenwood Ave. His person smelled of alcoholic beverage and his speech was slurred. I had Todd stand up and placed him into handcuffs. I escorted him to my car and searched his person. Officer Ruiz searched his bag. I secured Todd in the back seat of my patrol car, confirming he was a U.S. Citizen. I transported Todd to the Whitfield County Jail.
At the jail, I charged Todd with the following charges, on warrantless arrest number 69229:
16-7-21 criminal trespass
16-11-41 public drunk
16-11-39 disorderly conduct
Todd and his belongings were turned over to the jail. I searched my back seat prior to and after transport.
