Spence was dispatched to [200 BLOCK] Canebrake Way in reference to a domestic disturbance in progress. Upon arrival, Sgt. Spence met with [VICTIM ] who was actively arguing with Mariah Harris.Sgt. Spence separated both parties to keep them from arguing and waited for other deputies to arrive. Upon the arrival of Deputies Broling and Sharp, Sgt. Spence spoke with the caller, [VICTIM ] who provided the following information.[VICTIM ] advised prior to calling 911, Mariah broke into the residence and was being violent toward him. He stated Mariah was drunk and when she broke in, she came to his bedroom door and kicked it. [VICTIM ] advised Mariah was acting belligerent and violent toward him by yelling at him as well as coming toward him with both hands in a choking manner. He stated she did make with him, but he pushed her back.[WITNESS ], the owner of the residence arrived on scene and advised Mariah was not supposed to be there. He stated she moved out a couple months ago and due to her actions in the past, he did not want her to be there. [WITNESS ] advised he wished for Mariah to be criminally trespassed as well.Sgt. Spence then spoke to Mariah, who smelled strongly of an alcoholic beverage and was slurring her speech. Mariah advised she didn’t have anywhere to go. She stated that she had lived there her whole life, but later admitted to moving out with her girlfriend a couple months ago.Sgt. Spence attempted to allow Mariah to find someone to come get her but she advised she didn’t have anyone who could.Sgt. Spence placed Mariah under arrest for OCGA 16-11-39 Disorderly Conduct, because of the damage she caused while making entry into the residence and her violent mannerisms toward [VICTIM ], and having cause to believe that if she was left on scene, the violence would escalate. Sgt. Spence then gave Mariah a verbal warning that she was criminally trespassed from the residence and if she returned she would be arrested.Sgt. Spence placed Mariah in the back seat of his patrol vehicle, and transported her to the Whitfield County Sheriff’s Office. Upon arrival, Sgt. Spence charged Mariah with OCGA 16-11-39, Disorderly Conduct on warrantless arrest 9920 and turned her over to booking staff without incident.[End of Narrative]. On January 28, 2025
at approximately 2030 hours, Sgt. Spence was dispatched to [200 BLOCK] Canebrake Way in reference to a domestic disturbance in progress. Upon arrival, Sgt. Spence met with [VICTIM ] who was actively arguing with Mariah Harris.
Sgt. Spence separated both parties to keep them from arguing and waited for other deputies to arrive. Upon the arrival of Deputies Broling and Sharp, Sgt. Spence spoke with the caller, [VICTIM ] who provided the following information.
