At approximately 1902 hours on Sunday, July 2nd, 2023, I was dispatched to [100 BLOCK] Carolyn Court Southeast, in Acworth, Georgia, regarding an assault.
Upon arrival, I located Victim, [VICTIM ], sitting on the front porch of the incident location. I approached [VICTIM ] and immediately noticed she had a bright red mark on her upper chest. [VICTIM ] was visibly upset and became emotional when I spoke to her.
[VICTIM ] advised me of the events that took place. [VICTIM ] said her Husband/Suspect, Dustin Stover, was told by his friend that [VICTIM ] and a black guy were playing “ding-ding” machines, which frustrated Dustin. [VICTIM ] said she was making a sandwich in the kitchen when Dustin kicked the cabinet and knocked the peanut butter off the counter. [VICTIM ] said Dustin then pushed her causing her to fall into the kitchen counter. [VICTIM ] said Dustin then picked up her Samsung cellphone and threw it on the ground, which caused the front glass screen to shatter. [VICTIM ] said both of her Juvenile Children were present in the residence for the incident. [VICTIM ] said she did not provoke or insult Dustin during the incident.
I observed what appeared to have been peanut butter scattered throughout the kitchen. Peanut butter was on the tile floor, kitchen counters, kitchen cabinets, and kitchen mirror. I observed [VICTIM ]’s cellular phone which had visible damage to the front of the screen. [VICTIM ] said no damages were present on the cellular phone’s front glass screen before the incident. I touched the front screen on the phone and felt small glass fragments coming off of the screen with a slight touch, which leads me to believe the damages were recently caused. I observed [VICTIM ]’s upper chest which was visibly reddened due to Dustin shoving her in the kitchen.
I photographed images of [VICTIM ]’s cellular phone, injury, and peanut butter scattered throughout the kitchen.
I spoke to Victim/Juvenile, [REDACTED BY AGENCY], who was present for the incident. [REDACTED BY AGENCY] said his Dad (Dustin Stover) pushed his Mother ([VICTIM ]). I asked [REDACTED] if he observed Dustin pick up [VICTIM ]’s phone and throw it, to which he shook his head in an up and down motion which is commonly known to express yes.
I spoke to Victim/Juvenile, [REDACTED BY AGENCY], regarding the incident. [REDACTED BY AGENCY] was laying on the bed in the master bedroom which is beside the kitchen. [REDACTED BY AGENCY] said she heard loud noises, went to the kitchen, and observed peanut butter throughout the kitchen.
[VICTIM ] did not wish to fill out a voluntary statement.
[VICTIM ] confirmed she and Dustin are married, parents of the same children and both reside in the same household ([100 BLOCK] Carolyn Court Southeast, Acworth, Georgia, 30101).
I was unable to locate and speak to Dustin regarding the incident.
Dustin has prior arrests for simple battery and simple assault.
I provided [VICTIM ] with a case number/domestic violence pamphlet.
Dustin was charged with Battery- Family Violence, Criminal Trespass- Damage to Property (Private), and Cruelty to Children 3rd Degree (PENDING ARREST).
