On August 25, 2024
, I was dispatched to 204 E Felton Rd room [REDACTED], Cartersville GA, in reference to a dispute over money and broken glasses.
Upon arrival, I spoke with Bradley Santos-Williams. He stated that he had been in a fight with the men in room [REDACTED] on the night previous to this and they had broken his glasses. He said they offered to pay him back for the glasses and he agreed to that. He showed me his glasses which were broken on one side. He said he came today to get the money but the men would not pay him. He said when he confronted them that one of them ([VICTIM ]) had pulled a machete on him.
I then went to the room and spoke with [VICTIM ] and his father [WITNESS ]. They said that there had been a fight but it happened several weeks ago and it was nowhere near here. They said two of the boys in the fight were in the room at this time [REDACTED BY AGENCY] and [WITNESS ]). They said that Bradley showed up today and knocked on the door. They said that when it was open he barged in and became irate and belligerent, so [WITNESS ] told him he was going to have to leave and turned him out the door. [WITNESS ] said he had to push him out the door to get him to leave. He said once Bradley was outside he pulled two knives and started acting like he was going to fight [VICTIM ]. They both said they couldn’t understand what Bradley was saying.
I then spoke with [REDACTED BY AGENCY] and [WITNESS ]. They gave the same story as [VICTIM ] and [WITNESS ]. they said the fight was weeks ago and they had offered to pay Bradley which he excepted. They said that the glasses were bent in the middle and that they didn’t know how the side got broke. They confirmed the story that [WITNESS ] and [REDACTED BY AGENCY] had said and they said that they heard Bradley trying to get [WITNESS ] and [VICTIM ] to fight him after he had pulled the knives.
All parties on this side of the incident said that [VICTIM ] did have a machete in his car, but he never got it out. They also said they did not wish to pursue charges at this time and that they just wanted Bradley to leave.
I then spoke back with Bradley and explained to him what I was told. He said that they were all lying and that he only pulled the knives after the machete was pulled on him. He said he wanted the case left active for further investigation because I was unable to review the security camera footage at this time.
Case left active for further investigation.
