On September 28, 2024
at 12:33 AM I, Sgt Thomas Kent, responded to 427 Poplar St to assist patrol units with a call about two suspects displaying firearms and attempting to fight patrons in front of Serenity Entertainment and security at that location.
Upon arrival I made with the complainant, [WITNESS ]. [WITNESS ] stated that one of the suspects had run into a parking deck with a firearm on his person and the other was being compliant and talking to Dep Derrick Stokes. While talking to [WITNESS ] we saw a person attempting to jump over the wall of the parking deck into an alley. [WITNESS ] identified the person as being the other suspect involved. I went down the alley and made with the suspect as he was coming out of some bushes. I ordered the suspect to stop and stay where he was. The suspect then turned and ran away from me down the alley and onto Cherry St Ln.
I perused the suspect to the back of The Humming Bird Bar and Lounge where the suspect hit a dead end. The suspect pulled out a pistol while running and then dropped it when he began to stumble. I ordered the suspect on the ground and when he refused I went hands on and pulled him to the ground. Dep Blash then came around me and held the suspect on the ground while I recovered the pistol. The suspect was then identified as Jason Robinson.
I returned to the complainant to get his statement. [WITNESS ] stated that he is security for Serenity and witnessed Jason Robinson and his brother who was identified as [REDACTED] arguing with some patrons on the sidewalk in front of their business. When they saw [REDACTED] and Jason displaying firearms they moved to intervene. Jason and [REDACTED] then began to get physical with security so [WITNESS ] stated that he decided to call the Sheriffs Office. When deputies arrived [REDACTED] stayed and was compliant with deputies but Jason ran off when he saw them pulling up.
I spoke to Dep D. Stokes who stated that [REDACTED] was compliant and did have a Glock 31 on him. Dep Stokes stated that he did not have any charges on [REDACTED] and was going to release him to his mother and turn the firearm into the crime lab.
Jason Robinson was arrested and transported to Bibb LEC for disorderly conduct due to his physical altercation with patrons and security. Obstruction Felony for fleeing from deputies and pulling a firearm during the foot pursuit which endangered nearby patrons at The Humming Bird. Unlawful possession of a firearm by a minor for possessing a handgun due to Jason being intoxicated and having a Glock 17 on his person at the age of 17. Both the Glock 17 and Glock 31 were turned into the crime lab.
