On Wednesday 8/21/24 at 1558 hrs, Deputy Diak was dispatched to Willowdale Rd at Crow Valley Rd to check on a female covered with blankets lying near the railroad tracks. Upon arrival, Deputy Diak met with the caller, [REDACTED]. [REDACTED] escorted Deputy Diak to where the female was lying near the tracks.
Deputy Diak observed the female covered with blankets with her feet exposed. Deputy Diak reached down and touched the female’s arm in an attempt to wake her and her arm was cold to the touch. Deputy Diak pulled the blankets back to see her face and observed multiple lacerations to the face and blood on the ground surrounding the female’s head.
Deputy Diak contacted Sgt. Buchanan and advised him of the situation. The Criminal Investigation Division responded to the scene.
The scene was turned over to Detective Hicks for further investigation.
