Discretion is advised.]On Friday December 20, 2024at approximately 19:14 hours I, PFC Falcitelli, was dispatched to 101 W 1st St (Moes BBQ) in reference to a suspicious person. While en route I was advised that a female subject was screaming that someone had shot themselves, but no gunshots had been reported.Upon my arrival I observed the female (identified as Lyndsay Townsend) screaming on the flag bridge. I then approached her asked what was wrong. Ms. Townsend stated a female subject named [REDACTED] had shot herself in the forehead and was now running Eastbound on W 1st Ave. Ms. Townsend then stated that [REDACTED] then ran with the projectile still in her forehead. Ms. Townsend then advised that [REDACTED] now was still laying on the pavement and grabbed another firearm, dual wielding them now. I observed that [REDACTED] did not exist on either occasion. I asked Ms. Townsend if she had ingested any drugs today and she stated Methylenedioxymethamphetamine (ecstasy) powder had been poured on her clothes earlier in the day.At approximately 19:22 hours I placed Ms. Townsend under arrest, placed handcuffs on her person, and ed her incident to arrest. At approximately 19:25 hours I observed, in Ms. Townsend’s duffel bag, one firearm (Glock 43X Serial Number: AKAP116), a holster, two magazine, each loaded with eight 9mm bullets, a box of 14 additional 9mm bullets, and 14 45 ACP shell casings. All the items will be placed at the Rome Police Department for safekeeping. Ms. Townsend was transported to and booked on citation at the Floyd County Jail for 14-2 Disorderly Conduct (04324).
