On Monday September 2nd 2024
at 0722 hours I (Corporal A. Walker 329) responded to [3400 BLOCK] Houston Avenue (Pendleton s Apartments) Apartment [REDACTED] Macon Georgia 31206 in reference to a burglary.
Upon arrival, I spoke with the complainant identified as [VICTIM ]. [VICTIM ] stated that her ex-boyfriend identified as Jerold Clark broke into her house this morning while her children were asleep and set a child’s shirt on fire and left. [VICTIM ] stated that she was not during the time of the incident, but stated that she and Clark just broke up. I advised [VICTIM ] to obtain a temporary restraining order against Clark in regards to this incident.
[VICTIM ] was given the victim’s case pamphlet. Nothing further to report at this time. At 0824 hours I was notified by dispatch that [VICTIM ] was involved in a shooting and was standing by at 3970 Houston Avenue (Sunoco) Macon Georgia 31206. Upon arrival, I observed one of the victim’s identified as [VICTIM ] walking around with a gunshot wound to his upper back near the right shoulder area and [VICTIM ] had a scratch on her cheek from shattered glass. I advised dispatch that it was a valid aggravated assault and to notify a person’s investigator. EMS was notified and responded to the scene and transported [VICTIM ] to Atrium Navicent Health for treatment. Both Lieutenant R. Komsowski and person’s investigator T Moss were notified and responded to the scene.
I spoke with [VICTIM ] again and she stated that she and [VICTIM ] were traveling southbound heading to [VICTIM ] house when they drove past Clark standing by the family dollar on Houston Avenue. [VICTIM ] then stated that Clark fired several shots into [VICTIM ] vehicle striking [VICTIM ] in his upper back near the right shoulder area. Clark then fled on foot towards West Grenada Terrace. Shortly after Myself along with the Bibb County Sheriff’s Office gang, and swat units went to Clark’s last known location per Intel which was his daughter house located at [3400 BLOCK] Houston Avenue (Pendleton s Apartments) Apartment [REDACTED] Macon Georgia 31206.
We had negative with Clark at that apartment but via Intel Clark’s cell phone was pinging at apartment [REDACTED]. We went to that apartment and made with Clark at this point Clark was detained and the handcuffs were checked for fit, double locked before placing Clark in the backseat of my marked patrol vehicle. Per investigator T. Moss I transported Clark to the investigations office at 111 Third Street Macon Georgia 31201 for questioning.
After investigator T. Moss finished his interview with Clark, he was advised that he was under arrest. I provided my beginning mileage to dispatch and transported Clark without incident to the Bibb County LEC where he was turned over to the jail staff for booking. The gun and bullets were placed into evidence at the crime lab. Nothing further to report at this time. Warrants to be taken.
The case was turned over to investigations.
