I, Cpl. Koizumi, responded in emergency mode to [500 BLOCK] Swift St. Apt. [REDACTED] in reference to a Family Violence. Upon arrival, I made with Marcus Solomon (Offender/Victim) who stated he had a verbal argument with his live in girlfriend, Latoya Cole (Victim/Offender), and he wanted to gather his belongings to leave the residence.
Marcus stated he had a verbal argument with Latoya because she accused him of stealing money. Marcus stated Latoya threw his clothes outside of their apartment but there was no physical altercation. I observed no visible injuries to Marcus.
I observed approximately 15 articles of clothing on the ground outside of the front door of the residence. All articles of clothing appeared to have been ripped or cut. (Valued at approximately $500.00).
I made with Latoya who had visible scratch marks on the left side of her neck. Latoya stated she had a verbal argument with Marcus and he grabbed her around the throat using his hand. Latoya stated she could not breathe and was about to “black out” but Marcus let go of her before she did. Latoya stated she became irate and grabbed articles of clothing and cut them while throwing them out of the apartment due to her being irate. Photos were taken on Latoya’s injuries and the scene then put on a CD. The CD was submitted as evidence to evidence locker #02.
Marcus was placed in double locked handcuffs behind his back and ed incident to arrest with negative results. Marcus was placed in the backseat of my patrol vehicle and transported to the LEC Investigations, where he was released into the custody of Det. Baisden.
Latoya was placed in double locked handcuffs behind her back and ed incident to arrest with negative results. Latoya was placed in the backseat of Ptl. T. Davis’ patrol vehicle and transported to the LEC Investigations where she was released into the custody of Det. Baisden.
After Latoya was placed under arrest, Latoya asked for her daughter to be picked up by [REDACTED] (Involved Other). [REDACTED] responded to the scene and picked up Latoya’s daughter with her permission.
Sgt. Tuten responded to the scene.
The charge of Criminal Trespass could not be added due to a system error for Latoya cutting up and damaging Marcus’clothing.
This case is labeled as Aggravated Assault.
This case has been forwarded to Investigations.
