Discretion is advised.]On November 28, 2024, at approximately 1938 hours, I was dispatched to Highway 80 near Parsons Ave., inside the city limits of Pooler, Chatham County, GA, in reference to a male subject, Mr. Mark August, stating he was being followed and people were going to shoot him. It should be noted that this is the third time Mr. August has call 911 for this incident in the last two hours. Mr. August was warned that his continued calling of 911 without an emergency, would result in him being arrested.I made my way to the area and I observed Mr. August in the roadway next to a vehicle that had stopped in the roadway. Mr. August appeared to be talking with the driver. I advised dispatch that I was out with him, and made with Mr. August. He told me that the three vehicles behind me were loading up guns while in the parking lot of the Gate Station. It should be noted that on one of the prior calls, Mr. August pointed at two different vehicle saying they were following him and trying to shoot him. I asked why people were trying to kill him and he advised me his baby momma put a hit out of him. I attempted to ask him why she put the hit on him, and he stated he did not know. It should be noted that Mr. August had wide eyes and an odor of an alcoholic beverage coming from his breath.Once back up arrived on scene, I made the decision to place Mr. August under arrest for Unlawful conduct during 911 call for repeatedly having 911 called for a false report of a crime. He was also charged with pedestrian in the roadway. Mr. August was placed in handcuffs that were double locked and adjusted for fit. He was then ed and placed in the rear seat of Ofc. Silva-Brown’s patrol vehicle. I completed the paperwork and Mr. August was given a court date of February 6, 2025, at 10:00 AM. He transported to CCDC where he was released to the on duty jail staff with a bond of $1,500.00.[End of Narrative].
