Discretion is advised.]On Nov 28, 2024, at 14:43 a Domestic Dispute call came out at [SINGLE DIGIT BLOCK] Gray Fox Ct. I, Officer Simons (63875) arrived on scene at approximately 14:52 hours and met with the victim, [VICTIM ] who was in the front lawn. She was visibly upset and had a ripped shirt on. [VICTIM ] originally advised her, and Tate never lived together but later told Cpl Harper they resided together in Beaufort.[VICTIM ] advised her boyfriend; Corey Tate had strangled her multiple times today. She advised arguments began on Monday and Tate busted her lip. She advised that today that got into an argument and Tate had hit her and strangled her with one hand and banged her head on the wall. She said she tried to call the police, and he took her phone from her. [VICTIM ] advised she did grab Tate by the back of the shirt, ripping it to try and get her phone back, however he left with the phone.Tate returned again after going through [VICTIM ]’s phone and tried to get her to open the door. [VICTIM ] advised she grabbed some of his music items with the intent of using them to bargain for her phone. She said this time he strangled her with two hands, while banging her head against the wall and floor. She said she couldn’t breathe and passed out. [VICTIM ] said she came to with Tate standing over her telling her to “wake up” and then he left.Tate returned again, claiming he forgot his dip and music items. [VICTIM ] advised she held on to his music items with the intent to use them to bargain for her cell phone. Tate advised he would stand back from the front door and asked her to put the dip can in the flowerpot by the front door. When [VICTIM ] opened the door to put the dip in the flowerpot Tate pushed the door and forced his way in. He hit [VICTIM ] and when she fell down, he wrapped his forearm around her neck and strangled her from behind while pulling her hair.I observed reddening of her skin around her neck, most prevalent on the back of her neck. I also observed some small scratches on her upper neck, bruising to the left side of her face and left arm. She also had a ripped shirt on. She felt lightheaded, had neck pain, had difficulty breathing, vomited and urinated afterward.[VICTIM ] was transported to St. Joseph’s Hospital via EMS.On scene supervisor and FV detective were notified and arrived on scene.CRN card and DV resource sheet was provided to [VICTIM ].[End of Narrative].
