On July 05, 2024
at approximately 2019 hours, I was dispatched to [100 BLOCK] Cedar Point in regards to a domestic dispute that was reportedly physical. I was advised the primary aggressor had departed the residence. I was also advised victims on scene were injured, but declining medical assistance.
When I arrived at the residence, I observed an elderly man and woman seated in chairs by the front door. I approached them and asked if they were okay. They both began to complain of injuries. The female, [VICTIM ], stated several of her fingernails had been pulled out. She also complained about an injuries to her left elbow. I observed some torn fingernails, which were bleeding (they had been pulled back). The injury to her left elbow appeared minor. The male, [VICTIM ] stated his back was hurting. He did not have any visible injuries. They asked if we could go inside to talk since neighbors were out.
While inside, they spoke about a situation that had occurred last night. According to them, the Paulding County Sheriff’s Office responded to a domestic disturbance. The primary aggressor, Robert Davis Jr. departed the scene for the night.
Today, they stated he knocked on the door and they let him in the house. Their house is his of record. They stated he was intoxicated (alcoholic) and began cussing at them and being disrespectful. They stated Davis Jr. pushed [VICTIM ] down a flight of stairs to the landing and down the next flight as well. Mrs. [VICTIM ] said Davis Jr. struck her in the side face. I did not see any marks resulting from that physical . She went on to say Davis Jr. picked up two knives and stood over her. She said he was threatening her, which made her believe she was going to be physically harmed with the knives he was holding. They both said he, Davis Jr., turned on his dad holding the knives up to him making similar threats. Although the threats were vague, they both stated they were intimidated and were in fear of the lives. Mrs. [VICTIM ] said her son grabbed her phone from her and threw it down. The phone was not damaged, They both reported being shoved to the ground near the front door as Davis Jr. departed the residence. Both victims witnessed the assaults and threats.
They were provided a case card and a FYI card detailing Victim’s Rights information. They were told how to file for a TPO and an Eviction. They were provided the same information the previous night.
Both parents, the victims, are older than 65 years of age. They declined medical assistance while I was on scene. No photographs were taken of the injuries
