The complainant stated the offender, who is her boyfriend, got upset over the power being turned off. The complainant stated she didn’t pay the power bill due to the offender taking all the light bulbs out of the house so she couldn’t use the lights.The complainant stated the offender had been abusive to her all day. The complainant stated the offender struck her multiple times in the back of the head with his fists. The complainant stated while she was on the ground, the offender stomped the back of her head. The complainant stated the offender then began choking her to the point she couldn’t breathe.Lt. Cunningham checked the complainant for injuries. Lt. Cunningham did observe a mark around the victims throat which would be consistent with the offender choking the complainant. Lt. Cunningham also observed a red mark behind the complainant’s right ear. The complainant stated the offender had left the scene on foot prior to Lt. Cunningham’s arrival.Deputies searched the area and wasn’t able to locate the offender. Lt. Cunningham asked the complainant if she had somewhere to go or if she wanted to go to the womens shelter. The complainant stated she wished to stay at the residence. Lt. Cunningham provided the complainant with information on how to obtain a TPO through the crisis center. Lt. Dispatch confirmed the warrant for the listed subject.Deputy Brittsan assisted GSP 153 in arresting the listed offender. GSP 153 handcuffed behind the back, double locked, and checked for fit. GSP 153 seatbelted the offender in the back seat of his vehicle and transported him to CCSO Detention. GSP 153 searched the offender for contraband with none found. Deputy Brittsan then served a valid warrant on the listed offender and turned him over to jail staff without issue.
