On Sunday, October 28, 2024
, while conducting routine patrol on N. Highway 29, I observed a red Toyota Camry with its headlights on in the back of the church parking lot.
I entered the parking lot the driver tried to leave at a high rate of speed, I activated my emergency equipment and initiated a traffic stop. I made on the passenger side and observed a male reaching between his legs in the back seat I advised his to let me see his hands. Once the back seat passenger sat back, I made with the driver identified as WILKINS, ISAIAH. I asked Mr. Wilkins what was he doing at the church after hours and he stated that they were just talking, as I’m talking to the driver, I observed a firearm on the front passenger seat and also an open16 oz beer can at the feet of the back passenger. I advised both of the men to step out of the car.
Once out of the car I separated both men and started to speck to the Mr. Wilkins I asked Mr. Wilkins what where they really doing at the church so late? He advised me “we were having sex we got here at 2100 hours and we got done at 2200 hours when we see you, we were already leaving.” I advised Mr. Wilkins to stand at the front of my car and I went to speck with the passenger identified as COLTON, DENNIS EUGENE when I asked Mr. Colton what were you doing here so late, he advised me that “we were just talking and chilling”. I advised Mr. Colton that honesty was the best way when he deals with a deputy, when I asked again Mr. Colton than advised “some gy sht” I asked Mr. Colton what does that mean he than advised me “he was giving me head”.
I advised Mr. Colton to go to the front of my patrol unit and asked both parties were there anything in the car that I needed to know about Mr. Wilkins advised me that Mr. Colton put the gun in the front seat when he seen the blue lights because he was scared. I advised both parties that I would be ing the car due to the open beer in the back seat. Mr. Colton advised that the gun was a gift from his brother and the beer was his. ing the vehicle there was no other illegal items in the car. Concluding my investigation with both parties and the omission of having sex in the church parking lot I advised both parties that they were under arrest for Public Indecency.
Mr. Colton advised that he wanted the gun to stay in the car. Both men were placed in the back of my car and transported to Coweta County sheriff’s office, both men were turned over to the jail staff for processing with no further incident. The car was towed by AAforable
